Red Team's pillar is Health and Wellbeing and in this season of giving, Southeast Trojans and Families have a long-standing tradition of donating to families across the district. The compassion Southeast students and families show is a joy to watch unfold. Thank you so much for the amazing generosity during this holiday season. SE families provided wants and needs for 43 Trojan children from all over the district. We are very blessed to witness the thoughtfulness and compassion demonstrated by you all every year. The Trojan Tree children have been very well taken care off.

Trojans Read the Way Bookmobile will be headed out to our annual Winter Run this Saturday (12/21). All readers will receive 1 book + 1 holiday-themed book + a candy cane. Members of the Lady Trojan Basketball Team will be helping kids select books, take pics and maybe playing a little round of ball! We will also be having a book drive, books in good condition (no writing), high interest books (especially graphic novels and young adult fiction). Books can be brought on Saturday 12/21 or dropped off at JPS education service center (at the reception desk). Our summer book distribution was up 47% and we saw over 600 readers at East Elementary's Fall Fest so we need to replenish our book inventory. All wishlist are set up to be shipped directly to TRTW. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday...rumor is there might be a 'special guest' driving the book mobile. 🎅🏼

Over the past three weeks, all 4th grade students created and participated in the first annual Thanksgiving Day Sphero balloon parade during their STEM rotation. Students used Sphero robots to guide their balloons through the parade route. This was a culminating project in a cross-curricular learning project. Classes read the picture book, "Balloons Over Broadway" and wrote an opinion writing piece about their balloon's entry in the parade. This was a favorite activity for both students and teachers. Happy Thanksgiving Southeast Trojans! Excited to see you all on Monday.

Our first graders and teachers did Thanksgiving rotations designing balloons for the Macy’s Parade, writing what they are thankful for on vests and turkey hats, and making thankful bracelets. They shared all that they are thankful for at their Friendship Feast while eating lunch in the classroom!
