If you have not done so already, please complete Back to School Registration by this Friday, May 30. All returning students are required to update their information prior to the beginning of the 2025-26 school year. Failure to register your child for the 2025-26 school year could delay schedule pick up, meet the teacher, correct bus stop information and correct school assignment. Students who have been placed on hold due to residence can upload your proof of residence on your child's registration. If you have moved out of district, transfer applications will be available June 1, 2025 and MUST be submitted online. Transfer requests will begin being reviewed on July 7 and parents will be notified by email. All information regarding transfers is on the JPS website under "Enrollment." Go to jenksps.org for step-by-step instructions on completing registration. Thank you!

“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.” -Mother Theresa
Our volunteers are what makes JSE such an amazing place for our students and staff! Thank you to each and everyone of you.

"The influence of a good teacher can never be erased" -Unknown
We were able to pull off a surprise retirement celebration for two extremely humble ladies that insisted that we "don't" celebrate them. How could we not recognize these two fabulous educators!?!?!
Mrs. Bigger and Mrs. Leggett you will be missed; your legacy and impact will remain for years to come.

Jenks Southeast Elementary first graders in Ms. Harris’s art class have created something truly special! Together, they designed and painted a Play Me Tulsa piano with an adorable musical cat theme. Catch it at Tulsa Mayfest before it finds a new home in our community, ready for everyone to play, enjoy, and purr-form on! 🎶🐱🎹

Smart servings in nutrition are key to maintaining a healthy diet and managing weight. By understanding appropriate portion sizes, you can enjoy a variety of foods while ensuring you get the right balance of nutrients. This approach encourages mindful eating, helping you recognize hunger cues and make better choices. Incorporating smart servings not only supports your health goals but also fosters a positive relationship with food, allowing you to savor meals without overindulging. Remember, it's not just what you eat, but how much you eat that matters!

Several of our teachers attended the OAGCT (Oklahoma Association for Gifted, Creative & Talented) Conference on last Friday. We are thankful to have these professional development opportunities.

March is National Nutrition Month, a time to focus on the importance of making informed food choices and developing healthy eating habits. This year's theme encourages individuals to celebrate the benefits of a balanced diet, explore new foods, and understand the role nutrition plays in overall health and well-being. Let’s use this month to educate ourselves, share knowledge, and inspire each other to make healthier choices that can lead to a vibrant and active lifestyle!

Our 4th graders got some rehearsal time performing their People of Purpose speeches for their house team buddies this week.

Introducing the 2024-25 Site Teachers of the Year! These educators were selected by their peers at each JPS site because of the way they connect with students, mentor colleagues, innovate in their classrooms, and consistently demonstrate the mission, vision, and values of Jenks Public Schools. These ten individuals are relentless advocates for students and public education. Our community is so fortunate to have teachers like these (and many others), who inspire our next generation of leaders with their genuine care and passion for what they do. Please join us in congratulating them!

Did you know that a child's heart is roughly the size of their fist, while an adult's heart is about the size of two hands clasped together? This difference in size reflects the growth and development that occurs as we age. Despite their smaller size, children's hearts pump just as vigorously, supporting their energetic activities and overall health. Understanding these differences can help us appreciate the remarkable changes our bodies undergo throughout life!

February is recognized as Heart Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about heart health and the importance of cardiovascular wellness. This month encourages individuals to adopt healthy lifestyle choices, such as eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and managing stress, to protect their hearts. It’s also an opportunity to learn about risk factors for heart disease and to promote heart-healthy habits within our communities. Let’s take this time to prioritize our heart health and support those affected by heart conditions!

Over the last week, our Trojans have been thinking about others. During House Team activities, students wrote Valentine's for patients at the Children's Hospital and first responders, police and fire departments. We ended this week with class Valentine's parties.
