Students in Mrs. Tiller's 3rd grade class designed their own game or ride that used gravity to operate. They had to write an explanation on how gravity made the game or ride work. Great work, Trojans!
Ms. Brotherton's 3rd grade class took their math lesson outside for the day. They got some extra fresh air for a wonderful wellness Wednesday!
Students in Mrs. Bentley's Pre-K class are deepening their communication skills as they take on roles in their "Pumpkin Patch" dramatic play center. They also are practicing math skills to measure and weigh the pumpkins!
Students in Ms. Frazier's and Ms. Caywood's class practiced using descriptive adjectives while carving pumpkins. The 3rd and 4th graders said these pumpkins were stinky, gooey, juicy, cold, squishy, hollow and super slimy!

It was a beautiful fall day at The Patch for the NWE 1st Graders! Our little pumpkins spent the day exploring a corn maze, playing games with friends, and getting up close to some furry friends! Thank you, NWE PTAG, for funding our class field trips throughout the year!
During STEM class, Ms. Taylor's 3rd grade class was exploring how to use the new technology, "Book Creator." They have been learning about rocket ships and how they launch.
The Oklahoma Caring Van will be providing free flu immunizations for children on Tuesday, November 5th at Jenks NWE during the school day, starting at 8:30 a.m.
Parents/Guardians that choose to have their child receive a flu immunization must completely fill out, sign and return the consent form to their child's teacher.
Consent forms will be going home with students on Thursday, October 24th.

Mrs. Spencer's 4th grade class practiced their reading AND acting skills in this Reader's Theater activity! Reader's Theater is a great way to promote reading fluency. Plus, it is a ton of fun!

✨GROWING WITH GRANDS✨ Our Northwest Pre-K students got a special treat this week when some residents from Legend Senior Living joined their classroom for some fun and games during center time!
Mrs. Beyer's Kindergarten class read the book "10 Apples Up on Top" by Dr. Seuss during their apple unit. They had so much fun experimenting if they could stack 10 "apples" on top of their friends' heads after reading!

Molly is showcasing "Sweet, Sour, Service"! "Sweet, Sour, Service", is part of their closing meeting each day, and it consists of a reflection of the day. A "sweet" is something good that happened, a "sour" is something that happened that wasn't so good, and a "service" is an act of service/kindness they did to help someone. This lesson encourages students to share about their day and fosters help and service to our community. Molly shared her acts of service to the class!
Kian is showcasing the class science experiment about the Sun's energy! In this lesson, they conducted their own experiments using four different variables to see which one absorbed the sun's energy the greatest and which one did not. Kian was super excited to see that his hypothesis was supported!
