At that time, a link will appear on the homepage of the Jenks Public Schools’ website (jenksps.org) and on the JPS Enrollment Center webpage (https://www.jenksps.org/page/enrollment). Parents must wait for the 2025-26 link to enroll. The forms available now on the Enrollment Center webpage are for this year only. Enrollments cannot be transferred from one year to another. Enrollment is for first-time students only! If your child was enrolled in Pre-K this year, you do not need to re-enroll to enter Kindergarten next year. The Master Gardeners came to Mrs. Fleming's 2nd grade class last week to share their knowledge about worms. Students got to hold them, look at their intestines using a flashlight under the petri dish, and determine if each one was or was not an adult worm. 🪱Fun Fact: Worms don't have noses but breathe through their skin. That's why they have to stay moist all the time!

A big shout out to our JPS Facilities Management department for clearing the remaining snow on our playground! Our students and staff are extremely grateful!

A big THANK YOU to the students and teachers from the Jenks High School International Scholars Program for taking the time to present cultural dances from Southeast Asia to our Northwest 1st-4th graders! Our students loved your performance!

Today was "snow" much fun at Northwest Elementary! Reminder, no school tomorrow, January 10th. Enjoy your snow day, Trojans! ❄️☃️❄️

Congratulations to our amazing 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Sydney LaManque, on being awarded the 2024-2025 Jenks Northwest Elementary Teacher of the Year! Thank you, Sydney, for all that you do for our students and site! Well deserved!

In Mrs. LaCroix's Pre-K class, they are practicing 1-to-1 correspondence and cardinality in ten frames while being festive with jingle bells!

Fine motor fun! After singing and reading about the Gingerbread Man, Mrs. Cramer's Pre-K class made their own Gingerbread houses, followed by a drawing piece.

In Mrs. Johnson’s Pre-K class, they have been working hard on their patterning, ordering numbers, and fine motor skills during their unit on the Gingerbread Man. They are also reading lots of books and learning how to compare and contrast the stories.

Ms. Dower's Kindergartners read "Turkey Trouble" in class last week, then did an art project where they displayed their creativity by disguising their own turkeys.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our Northwest Trojans! See you Monday!

Mrs. LaManque's 4th grade class has been spending the week in our NWE STEM Lab. Students are working in teams to explore different activities each day. They are practicing skills like coding, movie-creation, and programming.

Students in Mrs. Tiller's 3rd grade class designed their own game or ride that used gravity to operate. They had to write an explanation on how gravity made the game or ride work. Great work, Trojans!

Ms. Brotherton's 3rd grade class took their math lesson outside for the day. They got some extra fresh air for a wonderful wellness Wednesday!
