Congrats to Maren Johnson on being named the 2023-24 Gatorade Oklahoma Volleyball Player of the Year! It's an incredible honor achieved by only the most elite HS athletes in the country. Maren was selected for her outstanding play on the court, as well her 4.11 GPA and her volunteer service at Tulsa Boys & Girls Club. She helped the Trojans to a 34-5 record and the 6A state title this year, and concluded her HS career with a school-record 1,371 kills. Way to go, Maren!

Winter is here and we want all JPS students and families to be aware of winter weather procedures. How are decisions made regarding school closures? How and when can parents expect to be notified if schools are closed? Find answers to those questions and more by clicking here https://www.jenksps.org/article/1396439

Oh what fun it is to read books from the Trojans Read The Way Bookmobile! 📚🚌🎅❄️ Santa ditched the sleigh for the Bookmobile this afternoon to surprise Trojans with a good read before the holidays. The smiles say it all!

From our Trojan Family to yours, have a safe, fun, and happy Winter Break! We'll see you on Thursday, January 4, 2024. 🎄❄️

Jenks West Elementary is giving us all the holiday vibes! 🎄🎁⛄️
JWE put together a holiday sing-a-long for their Trojans including a surprise teacher and staff performance. We love to see it!

It's Colonial Day at Jenks East Intermediate, which means JEI 5th graders take a trip back in time to experience the 17th and 18th centuries! Students have been learning about the Colonies and what life was like all those years ago. This afternoon, students engaged in activities like making their own butter from scratch, signing their names on the Declaration of Independence using a quill pen and ink, playing popular 17th and 18th-century games, and drawing the flag. What a fun learning experience for these Trojans!

Happy HALLidays! 😉
Jenks West Elementary's holiday hallway decorating contest has commenced, and these students and teachers truly outdid themselves! Judges experienced Christmas around the world, retro holiday vibes, a snowball fight, and all 12 days of Christmas! Who do you think won? Let us know! ⬇️ 🎄❄️🎁⛄️

It's Mental Health Awareness Week at Jenks High School! Jenks Student Council partnered with Family & Children's Services to raise awareness and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health through activities and resourceful luncheons each day. Today at lunch, students made friendship bracelets, wrote down what they're thankful for, and pomped a sign. We are proud of you, Trojans!

Would you believe us if we said Dr. Butterfield drove in a Grand Prix race...at Jenks Alternative Center? Well, she did! This morning she got behind the wheel of a driving simulator during JAC's site visit and took it for a test drive alongside a few JAC students. After her joyride, she stopped by Ms. Freeman's English class where students were reading a graphic novel edition of Macbeth. Thanks for a fantastic morning, JAC! 🏎📖

Best surprise ever!
5️⃣2️⃣ Jenks High School seniors were surprised by The University of Tulsa's Admission Team, Goldie, drumline, and cheer with a much-deserved acceptance celebration this afternoon! These smiles say it all. We couldn't be more excited for you, Trojans! #ReignCane

The eSports program at Jenks High School is only 2 years old and has already captured 2 state championships! This past weekend, the Trojan squads won the title in Overwatch 2 and placed third in two other events. The students and coaches were outstanding representatives for their team and their school. We're proud of how far this program has come and where it's going. Congrats to all!

The opportunity of a lifetime.
For the third year in a row, seniors at Jenks High School have received full, four-year scholarships to prestigious colleges through the QuestBridge Match Scholarship program. Ila Sous and Toluwani Ladapo are two of only 2,242 students nationwide who were selected as Match Scholarship recipients. Through this incredible opportunity, Ila will attend University of Pensylvania and Toluwani will be heading to Colgate University in New York! Congratulations, Trojans!

Today, we welcomed guests from many districts in the Tulsa area to hear directly from our state legislators. Thank you to Senator Dave Rader, Representative Jeff Boatman, Representative Suzanne Schreiber, Representative Lonnie Sims, and Representative Amanda Swope for joining us for the 31st annual Legislative Luncheon and discussing important issues facing public education.

Friends and families gathered to watch their Jenks West Elementary 4th grader's Portrait of a Graduate performance this morning. This emotional performance encompassed what characteristics and attributes they've gained as Jenks Trojans over time and what they will carry forward with them in the years to come. Student artwork connecting to the JPS Portrait of a Graduate framework and their personal perspective was showcased for their families to check out. Way to go JWE 4th graders!

Collaboration of big and little Trojans at its finest! Members of the Jenks High School Student Body Leadership went to Jenks West Elementary today to play a few competitive games of Simon Says and Heads Up Seven Up with the younger Trojans as a way to teach them leadership qualities like integrity. Watching our students create connections and collaborate is so special!

This past June, we shared the incredible Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night-inspired mural, including familiar landmarks from Jenks- the First Oklahoma Bank headquarters and Lighthouse painted by now sophomore at Jenks High School, Karely Renteria-Esperanza. Today, Tom Bennett, a JHS graduate and President and CEO of First Oklahoma Bank, presented Karely with a certificate of appreciation and a $150 Youth Savings Account. This mural wouldn't have been created without the support and challenge from Karely's Jenks Freshman Academy art teachers and administration. Thank you, First Oklahoma Bank! Keep up the good work, Karely!

Out of 263 story submissions, 7 JPS students were selected as winners in the Tulsa City-County Library's 2023 Spooky Story Contest. Each student's story will be published online and printed as part of TCCL's permanent collection. Congratulations to these Trojans on their creativity, imagination, and storytelling ability!
