📚Author Visit!!! 📚
Today advanced ELA students and book club members heard writing and research tips from author April Henry. She even autographed their books! Students were captivated by her stories and inspired to continue writing themselves. April even stopped by our book fair where one of her titles is for sale!

This week, students in Mrs. Swift's 7-4 Science classes created a life-size Periodic Table of Elements as part of their Structure of Matter Unit. Each student selected an element, conducted background research, and created an element profile. The profiles were then arranged in atomic order to form a giant Periodic Table. It is on display in the downstairs 300 wing!

Last week, students in Mrs. Swift's Science classes created their own prototype of a skateboarding half-pipe using a variety of materials and a marble. The project allowed students to demonstrate their understanding of Kinetic and Potential energy in a creative and engaging way. Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who donated supplies for this project. They had a great time!🛹

Amanda Taylor's Health & Wellness 2 classes had a Q&A session with Dr. Anne Weese, the Director of Mental Wellness & Sport Psychology at K-State University. #growthmindset #futurefocused
