JEI 6th grade orchestra performed beautifully in their holiday concert. Nice work, JEI students!

Introducing one of our fantastic Teacher of the Year nominees, Shelbee Chamberlin!

On Friday, 12 MathCounts students went with coach Nicolette Hall to a mock competition at Holland Hall, where they competed with 5th-8th graders from the Tulsa area. Isaiah Booth was on the winning mixed team and Noelle Barnett was on the 2nd place mixed team. Reyansh Gupta was 11th overall and the top-scoring 6th grader. Caleb Tangpua was the top-scoring 5th grader. Congrats to everyone!

Our JEI 6th Grade Band students entertained the audience with their talent. Way to go, JEI!

JEI students cheered on Varsity Football players, cheerleaders and pom girls. Many of these high schoolers also walked the halls of JEI as students. Jenks Varsity Football played in the 6A1 Championship game and we are so proud of their amazing season! A few JEI students joined with JEE students to help cheer the team on during the JHS Pep Rally.

Each semester, administrators, JPS Board of Education members, and community representatives visit different sites to experience learning in the classroom and progress in our District. Today's focus throughout the Fall Board Showcase was to make connections throughout the District to the Portrait of a Graduate framework. Some highlights included problem-solving at Jenks West Intermediate, learning how to effectively communicate emotions at Jenks Northwest Elementary, CareerTech programming through agricultural education and STEM at Jenks Middle School, and collaborative project-based learning at Jenks East Intermediate. Thanks to all the principals, teachers, and staff members who made this showcase possible!

It’s Trojan 20 time! Trojan 20 is an annual fundraising campaign for parents and guardians of Jenks students. Trojan 20 gives JPS parents/guardians an opportunity to support the programs available to their students through the JPSF by donating $20 for each of their students enrolled at JPS.
Trojan 20 donations can be made using the QR code on the donation boxes, visiting the JPSF website at https://jenksfoundation.org/trojan-20/, or by mail. Thank you for your generosity!

It was a reel great afternoon for Jenks East Intermediate students who participated in the lunch fishing club! 😉🎣 This small lunch club hosted by parent volunteer, Matt Knox, had their last class today. Students were given fishing poles donated by Zebco to practice casting their lines with, but were surprised at the end of the class to find out the poles were theirs to keep. Thank you, Matt Knox, for volunteering your time and to Zebco for your donation to these Trojans!

To all the brave American heroes, thank you for your service and sacrifice. #VeteransDay 🇺🇸

Students and veterans were honored yesterday during our JEI Veteran's Day and character trait assembly. Our Veteran guest speaker, JEI's own, Andrew Reyna, spoke to students. JEI is sending a huge thank you to all veterans for their service to our country! 5th and 6th graders were also awarded with the Compassion Character Trait award. Inclusiveness Character Trait winners were also recognized from an assembly that was held earlier in the year. JEI loves the positive example that these students exemplify. Congratulations!

JEI staff wants to send a huge thank you to our wonderful JEI PTAG for a delicious lunch. The PTAG treated the staff to Upper Crust salad, bread and pasta that was donated by the Hal Smith Group. We feel so loved by this yummy treat!

Inventing, designing, coding, and problem solving is exactly what Jenks East Intermediate 5th grade students have been up to recently. Students collaborated together to create robots, video games, and structures. This afternoon, the JEI STEM Lab was filled with students showcasing their hardwork to their friends and families! Incredible work, Trojans!

Clara Sackey, Director of Donor Relations and sister to Mrs. Copsey, spoke to students at our Character Trait Assembly. Her work at the Pearl House in Ghana, Africa is a great example of compassion. Congratulations to our Teamwork and Sportsmanship Character Trait winners. Thank you for being good examples of great character!

Brenda Wilson and Sarah Miller, along with JEI 6th Grade girls spent the day at The Women in Science Conference at the OKC Science Museum learning about STEM careers, listening to a panel of women in STEM fields, participating in an engineering challenge and exploring the museum. It was a fun filled day of learning!

This week is Respect Week at JEI. Dress up and help us spread awareness to prevent bullying and to bring awareness to Red Ribbon week.

Wasn't the first day of school yesterday? Enjoy your fall break, Trojans. We'll see you on Monday!
