It is one of the highest honors a high school senior can earn in Oklahoma.
Congrats to the four members of the Jenks High School Class of '24 on being named Oklahoma Academic All-State honorees by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence.
Rylee Cole, Elaine Gao, Karissa Lu, and Diya Patel are among the 100 seniors selected from across the state. Each of the four JHS seniors will receive $1,500 and will be recognized at an awards banquet in Norman on May 4.
Way to go, Trojans!

WATCH: Why are you so happy all the time? A student posed that question to Destinee Frazier. It was an easy answer for the Northwest Elementary Site Teacher of the Year. For someone who grew up loving every teacher and everything about school, there was never another path for Mrs. Frazier. She can’t see herself doing anything else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_70ryauFVOU

Wondering what Jenks Northwest Elementary 1st graders were up to this morning? 🤔
Learned the science behind sound waves 👂
Created homemade flutes out of straws 🎶
Explored the Discovery Lab exhibits 😎
In part of the arts initiative funded by the Jenks Public Schools Foundation, JNWE 1st graders set off on their adventure to learn about the place science and math have in the arts. During the spring semester, all JPS first graders will have the opportunity to visit the Discovery Lab to learn all about sound science! Thank you, JPSF!
WATCH: Courtney Coffey was a student at Jenks East Elementary and now she is the Site Teacher of the Year! The Jenks lifer sat in the same classrooms and walked the same hallways as her kindergarten students of today. It’s where she was inspired to be a teacher and first dreamed of guiding a room full of children. She remembers how much she loved school, and she wants to create the same kind of memories for her students. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCEXvF96Dvg

Jenks High School Trojanaires are GRAND CHAMPIONS! 🏆
This past weekend, JHS Trojanaires won the Rockbridge Southside Showdown competition in Columbia, Missouri. But wait, there's more! They also won Best Costumes, Best Choreography, Best Vocal Sound, and Best Closer. What a way to end their season! We are so proud, Jenks Vocal Music!

Congrats to the 3rd and 4th graders from Jenks East Elementary who saw months of practice and hard work pay off last Friday as they participated in the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Challenge Bowl in Okmulgee. The competition tests students' knowledge about history, government, and language of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. These Trojans have been preparing for this day since September and competed against 19 other schools. We love seeing our students embracing these opportunities!

Jenks Swimming is THE STANDARD. Another dominant meet for the Trojan boys as they cruised to the 6A State Championship at the Trojan Aquatic Center. That's five titles in the last six years and now 22 overall for one of the most successful programs in the state in any sport. The boys were also crowned Co-Academic State Champs. The Girls Swim Team capped off another impressive season with a State Runner-Up finish. Congrats to all Trojan swimmers and coaches!

***REMINDER*** Monday, February 19, is a Professional Day for JPS employees and there is NO SCHOOL. Enjoy the three-day weekend, Trojans!

A huge thanks to Lori Fullbright for closing out the Jenks High School FCCLA Week: Acts of Love activities. Lori talked about her career over the years and offered positive ways to care for yourself and others. We appreciate you showing up and supporting our Trojans!

Just married! 💍🤍💐
Jenks East Elementary kindergarten students attended an eQUsite wedding this morning uniting Q and U together as one. Mr. Glaze officiated the wedding and there was even a reception with cake, bubbles, and dancing to follow. What a creative and uniQUe way for these tiny Trojans to remember the "qu" spelling rule.

Rock on! 🤘🎻🎸🎼
All JPS 4th graders spent their morning rocking out with the Tulsa Symphony! Students engaged with Carnegie Hall's Link Up program by bringing their recorders and playing along side the orchestra. This year's theme explored the different sounds and rhythms that allowed students to discover how the orchestra truly rocks! Thank you, Jenks Public Schools Foundation, for making this experience possible for our students through the Growing through the Arts initiative.

Here they are...the 2023-24 Site Teachers of the Year! This is a truly remarkable group of educators who show up for our students every day for the right reasons. We are so fortunate to have talented teachers like these throughout our District! Join us in congratulating our Site Teachers of the Year!

Thank a school counselor this week! We are so grateful to our incredible JPS counselors for all they do to enrich and enhance the educational experience for our students. These professionals are teaching character traits, tackling challenges alongside teachers and staff, and providing unmatched care and compassion for all students. Our schools wouldn't be the same without them! #NationalSchoolCounselingWeek

Let's hear it for the girls! 🤩🏆🎉
Both varsity and JV Jenks Pom teams are coming home from Orlando as National Game Day Champions! This is the first time in program history that the varsity squad took home a national title in Game Day, and the JV squad earned this title in 2019, 2020, and 2023. Way to go, ladies!

Exactly two weeks from today, you can play a part in shaping the future of Jenks Public Schools. Set that reminder in your phone now and go VOTE on Tuesday, February 13 in the JPS Bond Election. How will the bond dollars be used? Why does this matter for my student? How does this impact the District's finances? Great questions.
