Friends and families gathered to watch their Jenks West Elementary 4th grader's Portrait of a Graduate performance this morning. This emotional performance encompassed what characteristics and attributes they've gained as Jenks Trojans over time and what they will carry forward with them in the years to come. Student artwork connecting to the JPS Portrait of a Graduate framework and their personal perspective was showcased for their families to check out. Way to go JWE 4th graders!

Collaboration of big and little Trojans at its finest! Members of the Jenks High School Student Body Leadership went to Jenks West Elementary today to play a few competitive games of Simon Says and Heads Up Seven Up with the younger Trojans as a way to teach them leadership qualities like integrity. Watching our students create connections and collaborate is so special!

Earlier this school year, 3rd and 4th grade students wrote essays about why they wanted a bike and what it would mean to them to have one of their own. Throughout the fall semester, 1️⃣5️⃣ students received free bikes and helmets thanks to the generosity of @swervefoundation. Each bike presentation not only makes a lasting impact on these students but on everyone there experiencing the overwhelming joy and excitement! We love to see these Trojans' dreams come true! 😌🚲
A huge thank you again to The Swerve Foundation and their sponsors Justin Carlton State Farm, Bixby Bicycles and Accessories, Tallgrass Estate Planning, LLP, Jeremiah Lindsey- Flat Branch Home Loans, and Andrew and Lindey Techanchuck.
To see more photos including all the bike recipients, please go to our JPS Facebook page.
