Thank a school counselor this week! We are so grateful to our incredible JPS counselors for all they do to enrich and enhance the educational experience for our students. These professionals are teaching character traits, tackling challenges alongside teachers and staff, and providing unmatched care and compassion for all students. Our schools wouldn't be the same without them! #NationalSchoolCounselingWeek

Thank you, Counselors graphic
This year Counselors of JWE have selected a Service Project to coincide with our Kindness Week (Feb. 12 - 16th)! The attached flyer provides details regarding our "Fill the Counselor's Closet" service project! Your donations for "gently-used clothing" (pre-washed) and/or New clothing items, as well as Individually packed Snacks would be most appreciated! Each year our school provides students with much needed winter-weather clothing items, and other necessities to include shoes/socks/under-garments! Our closets are pretty bare, and we would love your help with this! Please take note of the Daily Themes & Activities in this flyer as well! Kindness Week will be filled with extra fun and pro-social activities! I can't wait to see the kids (and staff) dressed for all the fun!

Jenks West Elementary students got to visit Rose Hill School. Rose Hill School is not only an exhibit of a traditional one-room schoolhouse from Oklahoma's early days, but also a place where children can learn what education was like when their great-grandparents went to school.

Friends and families gathered to watch their Jenks West Elementary 4th grader's Portrait of a Graduate performance this morning. This emotional performance encompassed what characteristics and attributes they've gained as Jenks Trojans over time and what they will carry forward with them in the years to come. Student artwork connecting to the JPS Portrait of a Graduate framework and their personal perspective was showcased for their families to check out. Way to go JWE 4th graders!
