Our students had a fantastic time at the Young Athletes Youth Leadership Summit at the Ascension St. John Sportsplex! They rotated through fun activities focused on teamwork, leadership, and inclusion while partnering with high school students. It was wonderful to see everyone encouraging one another, building connections, and having so much fun together!

Students in Ms. Stauffer’s class had a very special morning meeting today—led by their own classmates! These awesome leaders taught the class how to say numbers, the alphabet, and greetings in their native languages, Zomi and Burmese. It was such a meaningful way for our class to learn about different cultures and celebrate the languages that make our classroom community so special. We are so proud of these students for confidently sharing a part of who they are and helping all of us grow as learners and friends. What a wonderful reminder that every voice and every culture adds something valuable to our classroom!

💙✨ It’s National School Counselors Week! ✨💙
This week, we take time to recognize and celebrate the incredible impact our School Counselors, Ms. Schwabe and Ms. Means, have on our students, staff, and families.
School counselors are so much more than a friendly face in the hallway—they are trusted listeners, problem solvers, encouragers, and advocates. Whether it’s helping students set academic goals, build strong friendships, navigate challenges, or simply feel seen and heard, counselors have a lasting influence in the lives of every child they support.
Join us in celebrating our amazing School Counselors! Drop a ❤️ in the comments to show your appreciation and share how they’ve made a difference for you or your child.

Master Gardeners came to NWE today in 2nd grade and shared all their wisdom about worms. Worms are so important to our dirt as they provide air and food to grass, trees, and plants. Classes got to use flashlights to see the worms very long intestine, hold them to feel the setae, and measure them with rulers. Fun Facts about worms: they have 5 hearts, no nose, no eyes, and their poop does not smell. We love Master Gardeners and can't wait to see them again in April for another great lesson! 🌱🧤
