Team 7-2 (Nolte) Advanced Science finished their "Element of the Week" journey with Element 26: Iron —the perfect place in the periodic table to end the year strong.

This final group of elements (#18–26) brought an interesting mix of personalities to our classroom and hallway: from noble gases, to essential metals in our bodies, to transition metals that make our world stronger, shinier, more colorful, and more connected — much like the dynamic mix of personalities and energy that made this class so lively (sometimes a bit too much 😛).

And just as Iron is also the last element forged in the core of a star before that star begins a new stage in its life, we too are now ready to leave this classroom and venture into the space ahead, carrying new knowledge, experiences, and curiosity to explore what comes next!

Mrs. Loftin with Robinson Ranch visited our 7th Grade Science students and Health and Wellness classes to share about sustainable farming and the importance of healthy eating. As well as the role of chickens and cows and how local farms help provide healthy food for our community. The presentation gave students a hands-on connection between agriculture, nutrition, and environmental responsibility. 🌱

Last week in 7-4 Science, students presented their Endangered Species Projects! 🐼🦋🌎

Throughout the week, students researched a wide variety of endangered species ranging from the monarch butterfly to the giant panda. One student even chose to research the smallpox virus! This was an open-ended project that allowed students to creatively share their learning in a way that matched their interests and strengths.

Students created posters, Canva presentations, 3D printed species, dioramas, trifold boards, children’s books, websites, and even clay figurines. On Friday, they proudly shared their projects with the class, and it was amazing to see their creativity, hard work, and passion for learning on display. We are so proud of our middle school scientists! 💚🔬
