📍 Trip Recap – Day 1 ✈️
Our adventure officially began with a full day of travel! We started at the airport, boarded our first plane, and made our way through another airport before catching our second flight to our destination.
After landing, we went through customs and met the bus that would be taking us around for the week. We were also excited to meet our tour guide, Dennis, who helped get us settled and ready for the days ahead.
After a long day of airports and airplanes, we finally arrived at our hotel for the night, La Rosa de America, where everyone was happy to relax and get some rest.
It was a long travel day, but the perfect start to an incredible trip! 🌎✈️

If you have not done so already, please complete Back to School Registration by this Friday, May 30. All returning students are required to update their information prior to the beginning of the 2025-26 school year. Failure to register your child for the 2025-26 school year could delay schedule pick up, meet the teacher, correct bus stop information and correct school assignment. Students who have been placed on hold due to residence can upload your proof of residence on your child's registration. If you have moved out of district, transfer applications will be available June 1, 2025 and MUST be submitted online. Transfer requests will begin being reviewed on July 7 and parents will be notified by email. All information regarding transfers is on the JPS website under "Enrollment." Go to jenksps.org for step-by-step instructions on completing registration. Thank you!

Shovels hit the dirt this morning as students, staff, and JPS Board members celebrated breaking ground on the final phase of the Jenks Freshman Academy renovation and expansion. Made possible by Jenks voters with their overwhelming passage of bond propositions, the new addition to the Freshman Academy is on track to open in August 2026. We are so thankful for the support of our entire community and our incredible partners at GSHelms & Associates Architecture and Crossland Construction Company, Inc. Together, we are building a better future for our students!

Introducing the 2024-25 Site Teachers of the Year! These educators were selected by their peers at each JPS site because of the way they connect with students, mentor colleagues, innovate in their classrooms, and consistently demonstrate the mission, vision, and values of Jenks Public Schools. These ten individuals are relentless advocates for students and public education. Our community is so fortunate to have teachers like these (and many others), who inspire our next generation of leaders with their genuine care and passion for what they do. Please join us in congratulating them!

Once again, JPS patrons have shown unwavering support of our students, staff, and our mission. JPS voters approved two separate bond propositions today totaling $19,600,000 by a margin of 81.4% to 18.6%. Jenks’ voters have now approved 61 of the past 62 bond issues for Jenks Public Schools. Your vote of confidence is deeply appreciated. These bond dollars will allow JPS to continue to provide exceptional resources, facilities, and opportunities to all students. Thank you, voters!

Polls are open right now and will stay open until 7 pm. Please go vote in the JPS Bond Election! Thank you!
