Graduation is still months away, but the opportunities and decisions that come after high school are already coming into focus for the Jenks High School Class of 2027.
Prep You is the annual Senior Conference designed to help students think about what's next and gain valuable insight from professionals across a wide range of industries.
Held on the campus of OSU-Tulsa, Prep You takes seniors out of their traditional classrooms for a full day of learning, discovery, and conversations with people who bring real-world experience and expertise.
From healthcare, architecture, and engineering to journalism, law enforcement, education, and the armed forces, the conference features an impressive variety of speakers and topics. Other sessions focus on law, exercise science, entrepreneurship, counseling, social media, and many more fields.
Each senior selects four sessions to attend, allowing students to customize the day based on their interests and goals.
Prep You isn’t just for students to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of certain jobs. It's about hearing the stories behind the careers.
Industry professionals share their personal journeys, discuss the education and training required in their fields, and offer insight into the challenges, rewards, and opportunities that come with their work. Students ask questions, make connections, and receive advice from people who have already traveled the paths they may one day pursue.
For some seniors, those conversations may reinforce plans they've been considering for years. For others, a single session could spark an interest they never knew they had.
The conference also reinforces an important message: There is no single path to success. Whether students plan to attend a four-year university, pursue technical training, enter the workforce, join the military, or take another route, there are countless ways to build a meaningful and rewarding future.
Made possible through generous funding from the Jenks Public Schools Foundation, Prep You reflects a shared commitment to preparing students not just for graduation, but for everything that comes afterward.
Thank you to the Jenks Public Schools Foundation and to all of the JHS staff members and community leaders who made this possible!
