Welcom to the JPS Board of Education Alli Johnson

The Jenks Public Schools Board of Education appointed Alli Johnson to fill the Ward 1 Board seat recently vacated by Tracy Kennedy.

Johnson, a proud parent of two students at Jenks Public Schools, has extensive volunteer experience in the District. She serves as executive liaison for the Jenks High School PTAG and previously held the position of president of the Northwest Elementary PTAG. Over the past several years, Johnson has been a member of the JPS Calendar Committee, Bond Issue Task Force, and participated in the Return to Learning Panel. She is an active member of the Jenks Parent Legislative Action Committee and volunteers her time as a homeroom parent, while attending various field trips and helping students with 1-on-1 math and reading support.

“I am honored to be selected by the Board members to serve this District,” Johnson stated. “Jenks Public Schools means so much to my family, and it is a sincere privilege to work alongside our outstanding administrators, teachers, and staff members, to create opportunities for our students and uphold the standard of excellence here in Jenks. Our schools are the foundation of our community, and although I’ve been fortunate to get a firsthand look at the wonderful work taking place in our classrooms, I’m excited to dive into the policies and practices of our Board and learn from these selfless volunteers.”

Johnson’s oldest daughter Bailey is a senior at Jenks High School, and her youngest daughter Sadie is in 7th grade at Jenks Middle School. Her appointment to the JPS Board of Education was effective immediately, and she was sworn in following the Board’s announcement of her selection. Johnson will finish Kennedy’s term expiring in 2026 and then decide whether to run for election.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alli Johnson to our Board, and we are so grateful to her for being willing to serve in this capacity,” remarked Terry Keeling, President of the JPS Board of Education. “Alli’s years of volunteer work give her an in-depth understanding of our District and make her the perfect addition to our Board. We look forward to working with her and watching her grow in this position. We’ve been fortunate for many years to have Board members who serve selflessly and without conflict. There is no doubt Alli will follow in the steps of Tracy Kennedy by putting students first.”

The members of the Board of Education voted unanimously in favor of Johnson’s appointment.
