Dr. Schwartz helped students make meaningful connections between the science concepts they have been learning in the classroom and how that knowledge is applied in the real world. He brought models and examples of materials and tools used in orthopedic medicine, allowing students to get a closer look at how doctors diagnose and treat injuries and abnormalities.
We are so grateful to Dr. Schwartz for sharing his expertise and helping bring our students’ learning to life.

It was a fantastic first session anchored in the 4 Essential Questions of a PLC:
1️⃣ What do we want our students to learn?
2️⃣ How will we know if they have learned it?
3️⃣ How will we respond when some students do not learn it?
4️⃣ How will we extend the learning for students who are already proficient?
Dedicated time to reflect, align, and elevate learning for every student makes all the difference. Proud of the hard work and collaboration happening at JWI and across the district!
