project westly

Community gift-giving during the holiday season is a long-standing tradition! Whether through programs like Toys for Tots, local Sponsor-a-Family drives, or tag trees often organized by groups like The Salvation Army, the core idea is always the same: identifying local children in need and giving community members a tangible way to play "Secret Helper" and fulfill holiday wishes. It's a beautiful way to bring joy and make the season brighter for all!

Here at Jenks West Intermediate, we proudly continue this incredible legacy, but with our own special twist! We lovingly call our initiative "Project Westly" in honor of the west side beloved penguin, Westly, who stands guard outside West Elementary! Just like Westly, who brings a smile to so many faces, Project Westly aims to spread warmth and happiness during the holiday season.

Through Project Westly, our amazing community "adopts" anonymous recipients by selecting tags from our penguin class tree, each representing a child's wish list. The generosity we see each year is truly overwhelming!

To everyone who has participated in years past, or is currently participating, in Project Westly or any other holiday support initiatives – THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts! You are making a real difference! ❤️
