We had the best time celebrating Global Day of Play 2026 at Northwest!
Students spent the day partaking in various activities including creating friendship bracelets, inventing their own board games, and bringing favorite games from home to teach their friends how to play. Classrooms were filled with laughter, teamwork, and a little friendly competition.
Students explored hands-on sensory activities, and some classes took part in a "Fort Fest.” Blankets, books, and big imaginations turned classrooms into cozy forts built for reading, playing, and relaxing together.
It was a simple day centered on creativity, connection, and fun... A great reminder of how powerful play can be.
