Trojan Connect Program
The Trojan Connect Program is an online learning environment option for students at Jenks Public Schools enrolled in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Students in the program will use educational software to complete lessons and assignments, supplemented by synchronous instruction (see family guidance document for definitions), and supplemental coursework. Trojan Connect instructors monitor student progress in the course management system as well as provide academic support for students in the program. Trojan Connect is a virtual learning environment that serves as an extension of your child’s school, providing access to the school library, counseling/guidance services, school pictures, and additional services.
In order to be successful, it is required that students have internet access from home or elsewhere. Students and families should also understand that learning in a virtual environment requires and reinforces important life skills such as time management and consistency of effort. Students who have been most successful in the Trojan Connect environment create and maintain a routine of scheduled learning activities that are conducive to establishing a focus on instruction and assessment. Trojan Connect students will be responsible for all rules and regulations set out in the student handbook including those regarding attendance, plagiarism, and academic honesty.
