Tennis Spring Tryouts Information (Incoming 9th - 12th Grade)

Please note: Junior High Tennis will not host tryouts or hold practices until after the upcoming school year has started. If you are new to tennis, we highly recommend gaining experience at local tennis clubs like Racquet & Health 91 (RH91) during the summer and fall prior to your first tryout.

Eligibility Requirements

▌ Student must have a valid Jenks student ID number and be actively enrolled in the district.

▌ Student must be an incoming 9th - 12th grader for the 2023-2024 school year beginning in August, 2023.

▌ Prior experience is strongly encouraged, but not required.

Dates:

May 23rd - May 25th, 2023

Time:

4:30pm - 6:30pm 

Location:

Students attending this tryout must also bring the following items:

▌Water

▌Tennis Racquet

▌Tennis Shoes (Court approved)

▌Appropriate attire

▌Student ID

Process for Current Jenks Public Schools Students WITH a Valid Student ID Number

If the student in question has a current Jenks Public Schools Student ID Number, then they or their parents are welcome to contact our head tennis coach directly via email at Jeff.Wollmershauser@jenksps.org to discuss joining the program.

Process for Students Transferring into District

If you are considering transferring into the district and do not have a JPS student ID number yet, you are not allowed to speak with our coaches due to OSSAA policies on recruiting.

We ask that you contact the athletic department (Trojan.Athletics@jenksps.org or 918-299-4415 x2214). We will provide you with information on our tennis program or set up a meeting with the athletic director if needed. You will continue going through our department staff for your athletic needs until you move into district and obtain a current student ID number. At that point, we will get you in touch with our coaches.
