PK Enrollment

West Elementary Families,

Welcome to Jenks West Elementary Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten! We look forward to having your child join us as they build foundational skills as lifelong learners. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme School (PYP), our school day embraces the development of the whole child. Our teachers instruct students in literacy, mathematical concepts, discovery, and inquiry of the natural world in science and social studies. Beyond academics, we develop and nurture social skills. Learning through play both inside the classroom and outdoors is an integral part of our lesson planning. We promote purposeful play across the curriculum while students learn and grow in all content areas.

West Campus Pre-Kindergarten (PK) and Kindergarten (K) Options: All PK and K options Once your enrollment is complete, you will receive an email to indicate your interest in the PK/K multiage options listed below.

● PK Classrooms are located in Building B

● Multiage PK/K is located in Building B. 20 PK students will be selected by lottery to participate.

● Multiage PK/K is located at Grace Living Center (GLC) Nursing Home in Jenks. GLC is an intergenerational multi-age PK/K program in which students participate for two years with daily interactions with the “grands”. Based on interest, 20 students will be selected by lottery to participate. Additional information about GLC is available at the enrollment center and the West Elementary Website. (**Whether we will be able to proceed with this program being housed at GLC for the 2021-22 school year will be determined at a later date.)

● K Classrooms are located in both Buildings A and D

Schedules: Pre-Kindergarten classes in Building B meet from 8:05 a.m.- 2:50 p.m. Grace LIving Center (PK/K), Building B PK/K Multiage, and kindergarten classes follow the elementary schedule and meet from 8:30 a.m.- 3:10 p.m. each day.

School Supplies: PTAG offers pre-ordered supplies that can be purchased at a reduced rate. Information will be shared at the Parent Information Meetings.

Before and After School Childcare: Before and Aftercare (PK-4) are fee-based childcare programs offered through Jenks Community Education. Information will be available at both PK and K Parent Information Meetings. Contact Taneesha Perryman (918) 299-4415 extension 5604 if you have questions.

Parent Information Meetings: We invite you to join us for virtual information meetings for the principal, teachers, and other school personnel to share information.
