Northwest Elementary News Northwest Families, Hello! We have been missing all of our students and families so much and we hope you are all well and safe. Our staff is incredibly eager to reconnect on Monday. So many things are different in our world right now, but we hope that "distance learning" will help your students feel safer, happier, and engaged in learning. With guidance from the State Department of Education, our district has created distance learning plans for all students. While our buildings will be closed, our teachers will work with each student and communicate with families. These teachers will send weekly choice boards electronically and share their "office hours". Students who do not have internet access may pick up a copy of the choice boards every Monday from 9:00 to Noon at the high school campus. We know our families will have many questions and we will share answers as we have them. One great source of information is our district website jenksps.org. Lunch information can be found at http://www.jenksps.org/vnews/display.v/ART/5e724d1cdf90b. Additionally, we have a FAQ page that is continually updated http://www.jenksps.org/vnews/display.v/ART/5e73be4c6ec5e. As we begin Monday, we will put together an FAQ page of information and share next week. In closing, please know that this is uncharted territory. We are all learning and adjusting together. We want to help support your children and you as we begin this new adventure. As always, please reach out if you have questions or concerns. Wishing you well, Lynette Talkington Northwest Elementary Site Principal |
