Our Jenks Story
Sharing our story is important. At JPS, our story is formed by our people. They represent our mission and our values, but they also embody the spirit of our District and our entire community. We want to introduce you to a few of those people who have funny, heart-warming, and meaningful stories to tell about the role JPS has played in their lives and the lives of their families.
Andrea Davis has spent her entire teaching career - all 35 years - at Jenks Public Schools. Now, her daughter Taylor has followed in her footsteps. Watch the mother-daughter duo share what JPS means to them and why they can't picture themselves working anywhere else.
He teaches science at JHS and coordinates the Special Olympics team. She teaches second grade at East Elementary. They are each other's biggest fans and supporters. Mark and Tammy Duesler know they are doing exactly what they were meant to do in the exact place they were meant to be.
They came from Puerto Rico seeking a better life and more opportunities for their kids. Five years later, Leo Martinez and Luz Perez are living their American Dream. It is a story of hope, family, and the power of perseverance.
