English Language Development: East Elementary Program
Jenks East Elementary offers English Language Development (ELD) services to all students who are English Language Learners (ELLs) in grades PreK-4. The Jenks East Elementary School’s ELD program supports all district and superintendent goals. The ELD Program has established the following specific goals:
-Provide a high quality, scientifically based English language instruction program for all ELLs;
-Use research based instructional methods and models so all ELLs will have a solid foundation and exit the ELD program as efficiently as possible;
-Provide our students’ families with the knowledge and means to be actively involved in their children’s education;
-Work with parents, so together we can nurture and guide students academically and emotionally.
