Medications at School
According to Jenks Public School policy, medications to be given at school must meet the following standards:
*All medications must be kept in the Nurse's office.
*A "Request to Give Medication" form must be filled out and signed by the parent/guardian.
*Prescription and non-prescription medications must be in the original container/package with the original label intact.
*Prescription medicine must have the student's name on the label and the correct dosage listed. Dosage changes must be approved by the child's physician in writing.
*Expired medication will not be administered.
*Medications need to be delivered to the Nurse's office by parent/guardian. Students may NOT carry medicine to or from school in a backpack.
*Medications will not be sent home with students.
