Guidance and Counseling
The purpose of the Jenks Guidance and Counseling Program is to facilitate maximum personal development of all students.
It is our philosophy that each student is recognized and valued as a unique individual; therefore, each student has an equal right to opportunities that facilitate personal development.
The guidance and counseling program is an integral part of the total school program. It is a joint effort that includes the total school staff, parents and community members.
Guidance and counseling services are coordinated by professional school counselors who have created a developmental program which provides active experiences to foster cognitive, emotional and social skills. Services are designed to prevent future problems and to attend to current difficulties students may be experiencing.
