Mrs. Parsons' Learning Lab
|Tammy Parsons||Special Education Teacher|
This is my 18th year of teaching but my first with Jenks Public Schools. I spent 14 years at Park Elementary School in Tulsa, and 3 years with Sapulpa Public Schools. I graduated from Jenks in 1984, and both of my sons graduated from Jenks as well, so my family is made up of "Jenks Lifers" I am very excited to join the Jenks faculty at West Elementary.
I have taught all grade levels from Pre-K through 5th grade. While teaching in the regular education setting, I discovered that I enjoyed working with special needs learners and obtained my special education certification in 2004. I hold both mild/moderate and severe profound certification, as well as early childhood education and elementary education.
My husband Clint is an attorney with Legal Aid of Oklahoma. We have two sons and two grandsons. When not at school, I love spending time with my husband riding on his Harley, playing with Carson and Jackson (my grandchildren) and watching my youngest son Ethan play college baseball. My oldest son Wyatt (Carson and Jackson's daddy) is studying to be an EMT. My sons played baseball/ football or basketball for Jenks during all or part of their high school careers so I can say I am an avid Jenks sports fan.
