SANDY MARLER/SPECIAL EDUCATION
I have been employed at Jenks Public Schools since 1996. I started at Central Elementary as a special education teacher and site coordinator. In 2004, when Central Elementary merged with West Elementary, I transferred to West and continued teaching students with special needs. In 2002 in addition to teaching, I became the coordinator for the “Extended School Year” program for school age students.
I graduated from Oklahoma State University and did post graduate work at the University of Oklahoma. I have certification in Special Education; Learning Disabilities, Mentally handicapped, Mild-Moderate Disabilities, Autism, Multiple Disabilities, and Other Health Impairment and Regular Education; Early Childhood. I have taught kindergarten students and high school students and everything in-between. All my years teaching have been in a special education classroom.
My experience here at Jenks Public Schools has been very rewarding and gratifying. My goal is for every child I work with to develop a love of reading.
