Bob Fisher, Special Education

Bob Fisher

Mr. Fisher is a Special Education Teacher at Jenks West Elementary.  Mr. Fisher graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1981 with a BBA. Mr. Fisher also completed a graduate program in Special Education at Oral Roberts University.  Mr. Fisher is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, OK. Mr. Fisher has been a special education teacher at Jenks West Elementary for 9 years.

Mr. Fisher enjoys tennis, snow skiing and water skiing.  Mr. Fisher is married to Wendi.  They have two daughters, Meghan 21 and Brooke 17.

Mr. Fisher specializes in students with mild to moderate disabilities and severe to profound disabilities including multiple disabilities.  Mr. Fisher's classroom is highly structured and organized.  All academic work is tied directly to the individual student's IEP goals as well as the Jenks Public School curriculum.  Mr. Fisher maintains day current data on student's progress and academic success.

Mr. Fisher's philosophy is to structure academic work so each student can reach their potential and academic goals.

Mr. Fisher's classroom promotes a friendly and nurturing atmosphere for his students.  All classroom rules are posted and daily reminders are used when needed.
