Flexible Benefit Allowance
The Flexible Benefit Allowance (FBA) is given by the State of Oklahoma to assist eligible employees with the cost of health insurance.
- FBA Eligible Certified staff must be contracted half time or more.
- FBA Eligible Classified staff must be contracted 30 hours or more per week.
- DBA Eligible Classified staff must be contracted 20 - 29 hours per week.
Certified Staff: Certified employees who do not take the school health insurance will receive a monthly benefit of $ 69.71. Certified employees who enroll in the school health insurance will receive $ 442.80 per month January through December. This will change every January based upon the States HealthChoice High monthly medical plan premium.
Classified Staff: Eligible classified employees (contracted 30 hours or more per week) who do not take the school health insurance will receive FBA in the amount of $189.69 for each month beginning the month following their board hire date. The FBA is spread over 26 paychecks; therefore, the monthly amount may vary according to each individual circumstance. Eligible classified employees (contracted 30 hours or more per week) who enroll in the school health insurance will receive FBA beginning the month following their board hire date. The monthly amount January through December is $ 442.80. This will change every January. DBA – District Benefit Allowance
Classified employees contracted 20-29 hours per week (half-time) who enroll in school health insurance will receive a district benefit allowance. The amount is half of the single premium based on the insurance plan of your choice. Fifty percent of the single elected premium will be deducted from each payroll check.
