Christy Andrews, Speech Pathologist
Welcome to Southeast Elementary! It is so exciting to be back in our beautiful school.
My name is Christy Andrews and I have worked as a Speech - Language Pathologist at Southeast Elementary since 1996. I received my undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University and my Master's degree from the University of Oklahoma. I am married and my own two children are "Jenks Lifers" who began their academic careers here at Southeast Elementary. They graduated from Jenks High School in 2006 and 2008 and both chose to continue their education at the University of Notre Dame. Go Irish! My son received his degree in 2010 and is a Business Analyst in the Private Equity Group for the Bank of Oklahoma. He also serves on their Mergers and Acquisitions Team My daughter graduated in 2012 and is currently employed as a Research Project Coordinator on a project by the Kellogg Institute for International Studies in affiliation with the University of Notre Dame.
Service delivery goals:
As a speech pathologist in the schools, I am well aware of the impact speech-language skills have on academics. It is my goal to help students achieve their potential by developing effective core skills as they relate to articulation, verbal expression, reading, written language, and social language.
Speaking from experience, it is a privilege to be a patron as well as an employee of this exceptional school district. I find it gratifying to be a part of this effort to ensure our students receive the careful attention and expert instruction that they deserve.
