Beth Howard, Speech-Language Pathologist
Welcome to my web page! I am a nationally and state board certified Speech-Language Pathologist. I received my Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and my Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the OU Health Sciences Center (although I will always be a COWBOY at heart!). I have been practicing speech-language pathology since 1995. Previously, I have worked in other public schools, Headstart, and also had a private practice. I served students at Jenks East Elemantary for seven years before transferring to the high school in the Fall of 2013. I have two children, one who graduated from Jenks High School and is now at OSU (GO POKES!) and one who currently attends Jenks High School. I truly believe this district has the best staff, teachers and students in the state. I am proud to be a Jenks Trojan!
I believe that teenagers who are working on speech-language skills need to be prepared to enter society as productive young adults equipped with good communication skills. My focus with high school students is to increase academic vocabulary use and comprehension for success in class, and social communication for success in the community.
