Announcements
The following announcements are to be made during 4th hour:
Seniors:
Baccalaureate is Sunday at 2:00 in the PAC. This is an optional activity for seniors. Those who plan to participate should meet in the Frank Herald Gym by 1:30 and are to wear their cap and gown.
The Senior Awards Program is Sunday at 3:15 in the PAC. Seniors receiving awards are expected to attend and wear their cap and gown. Seniors should check in at the Media Center by 3:00 or immediately after Baccalaureate for seating assignments.
On Monday, Seniors are to report to the Frank Herald Gym by 9:00 for the group picture being taken by Ervin Photography. Seniors are to wear their gown for the picture, but you will not be wearing your cap.
Commencement practice will begin at 12:30 at the ORU Mabee Center. Seniors are to bring their caps with tassels for practice. You are not to bring your gowns at this time. Enter the north doors and report to the main arena and sit in the chair with your name on it. Attendance at practice is required of all graduates who are participating in commencement.
For commencement, Seniors are to report to the Mabee Center practice gym by 7:00 pm. The required dress code for commencement is for girls to wear dresses or dress slacks which comply with the school dress code. Boys are to wear slacks, dress shirts and ties. Jeans are not permitted to be worn. Both boys and girls are to wear dress shoes. Athletic shoes and flip flops are not dress shoes. If any senior does not have the appropriate clothing to comply with this dress code, please contact the Guidance Office or any principal for assistance.
Attention Pre-Med members: The end of the year Pre-Med Party is today at 7:00pm at Taylor Warta’s house. There will be games, food and lots of fun. RSVP through the Jenks Pre-Med facebook group or email Taylor at TaylorWarta@gmail.com. Invite your friends! We hope to see you there.
CONGRATS TO NEW STUCO MEMBERS! THE LIST IS POSTED ON THE STUCO BOARD IN BUILDING 5! CURRENT MEMBERS, MAKE SURE TO CHECK TO SEE IF YOU ARE LISTED. ANY QUESTIONS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO MRS. HALVE IN ROOM 5221!
ALL STUDENTS: Please check the Holds lists posted on the Guidance Office window on orange paper. These are LEFT OVER Holds from 2011!
You may also check with any of your current teachers who have been provided a complete list by email.
They can tell you what the item is and the teacher who put you on the Holds List.
SENIORS:
IF these are not taken care of, a “Hold” will be put on your final transcript and diploma, which keeps your final transcript from being sent to colleges.
Please take care of these holds as soon as possible.
If anyone still needs to pick up their prom pictures stop by Mrs. Nunnelee’s room in the JMASC room 215 before or after school.
The Campus Police Office will be open to handle parking issues prior to the start of class, during lunch and after school till 3:00pm and will try to adhere to this schedule both this week and next week.
There will be a mandatory meeting for all boys interested in running cross country next season. The meeting will be today in the North PEG @ 2:35pm.
Attention all ARK Club members. We will be having our end of the year partytoday after school. We will meet in Mrs. Camp’s room, 5-223 and then we will head over to Olivia’s house together, Make sure you bring a swim suit, towel and a snack. See you there.
Mandatory Basketball Parents/Players Meetings as follows:
GIRLS - Wednesday, May 30th at 6pm in the Frank Herald Gym
Summer Camps, Team Camps, Leagues, Costs Involved and Schedules will be covered.
Get your teams together for the 2012 Gradfest Dodgeball tournament. All sign-ups for Dodgeball will take placeat school only starting Monday, May 14th. Each team will consist of 6 team members. The sign-up sheets will be located in the main office in both Building 5 and Building 6. A team captain needs to register your team by listing your team name, team captain and the captain's cell number. Both sign-up sheets will be closed at 3pm on Friday, May 18th. There will be a maximum of 20 teams. Prizes will be given to all team members of the first and second place teams.
Seniors get prepared for sign-up opportunities at Gradfest for the following activities: Casino - 2 sessions (1 hr and 15 min each), Caricature Artists, Backside Artists, Massage Therapists and Hip Hop. Each student only gets to go to one Casino session. Please plan on going to the different activities and signing up for an appointment time upon your arrival to Gradfest.
Money and Prize opportunities include: Bingo, Casino, Money Machine and Dodgeball.
Powder puff t-shirts are on sale during both lunches. The shirts are $15 and will be on sale through the today. Get your powder puff t-shirt and plan to attend the game Friday, May 18!
Seniors, be sure to come to the college office to sign up for your final transcript to be sent to the school that you will be attending next year. If you forget to do this, your college will put a hold on your spring enrollment and you are likely to end up in the dreaded 8 am classes.
Students just a reminder that the first row of parking in the Aquatic Center facing the building is reserved for people using the pool. Parking on the row facing the railroad tracks is reserved for individuals who have a hang tag allowing them to park there. Students are only supposed to be parking in the middle rows. Park in a spot where you are not supposed to be equals a parking ticket.
Seniors if you qualify for Distinguished Grad or Distinguished Service Grad, please stop by Mr. Means office in Bldg 6 to pick up your ribbon (s).

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: If you have not registered for Gradfest, please do so immediately. Forms are available in the counseling office or the Jenks website under high school activities under the gradfest tab. Registration forms must be signed by both you and your parent or guardian and must be accompanied by the admission fee of $40. Turn in your form and payment in the box in the counseling office.

Hey, Class of 2013! It not too late to sign-up to model at the first senior event of the year! The Annual Homecoming Fashion Show will be held on Sept. 11th. All seniors, guys and girls are invited to model. Sign-up forms are available in the Bld. 5 office, Bld 6 College Office, online at www.jenkspom.com, and from 2013 senior varsity pom girls. There is limited space! so sign-up today!
