2014-2015 Schedule Pickup for Freshman Academy
Dear Students and Parents,
As the new Principal of Jenks Freshman Academy, I would like to welcome you to our site and wish you the best year ever! Making this transition to the high school will be fun and exciting, but it can also be nerve-wracking and just plain frightening. Please remember, that our staff at the FA is ready and willing to help in any way. Here are just a few suggestions that can make your year successful:
- Before the first day of school, take the time to walk through your schedule and get a feel for where you’ll find the things you need (classes, nurse’s office, cafeteria, bathroom, etc.).
- Know the rules, especially about dress code. You’ll find it is very stressful to spend time in our office because, for example, you wore leggings without a finger-tip-length top. For more information, please refer to our Student and Parent Handbook on our web site (http://www.jenksps.org/vnews/display.v/SEC/Freshman%20Academy|Student%20Handbook).
- Get involved! At schedule pick-up, you will see several opportunities for clubs and organizations. Find something that interests you, and give it a try.
- Ask for help. If you are having any kind of issue during your freshman year, we are here to help. Talk to your teacher. Go see your counselor. Come in and discuss issues with the principals. Our doors are open.
Remember that the Freshman Academy is committed to your successful transition to high school.
See you soon,

Classes at the Freshman Academy are in session from 7:50 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Students should be dropped off and picked up at the F Street (north) lot. Buses drop off and pick up at the bus oval on B Street.
