School Safety and Security Information
At Jenks Public Schools, the safety and security of our students and staff members is always the number one priority.
Our staff members and administrators continuously evaluate safety protocols, and every employee is given a detailed Emergency Procedures Guide with instructions for a variety of scenarios from fires and floods to active assailants and campus lockdowns. All JPS employees receive training for how to act in the event of a school shooting, and Jenks Campus Police officers maintain a constant and very visible presence at our school sites. Students and staff members are continuously reminded and encouraged to immediately report any threats, suspicious activity, or concerns to an administrator or Campus Police officer.
In order to keep students and staff members safe, Jenks Public Schools does not divulge or broadcast details of its security plans and protocols. Anyone with an intention of doing harm to people or property should not have access to security information or in-depth knowledge of the practices and response times of staff members and Campus Police officers.
If you have any questions about the safety and security of your child’s school site, please contact the Site Principal.
