Roger Wright, Executive Administrator

Roger Wright joined Jenks Public Schools in 1987 as a high school Agriculture Sciences instructor and FFA activity advisor.  He was named an "Oklahoma Teacher of the Year" finalist in 1994.  In 1996 he was selected to be the Director of Community Education and lead in that role until June 2000.  He was then named as the Executive Administrator for School and Community Services, July 2000 to present.

During his tenure, Mr. Wright has supervised in a number of District areas.  He currently oversees the coordination and operations of the District's Night School, Saturday School, Secondary and Elementary Summer School, Early Learning Center (serving children six-weeks of age to two-years-old) Parent-Care-Center, Parents-As-Teachers, Three-year-old Community Preschool, Family Literacy programs, Parent University, Before and After School Enrichment, Adult Education, Adult English Language Development, Work-Based Education, GED Test Preparation, Testing Center, Community Education Programs, Drivers Education, Jenks Trojan Swim Club, Master's Swimming, Jenks Trojan Gymnastics, and Enrollment Center.

Mr. Wright also serves as the District's school law resource person, land manager/property purchasing, Safety Officer, Emergency Preparedness Officer, School Emergency Response Team's Leader and  Residency Officer.

He received his Associate of Science degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A & M in Forestry, Miami, Oklahoma, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Oklahoma State University, Collage of Agricultural Sciences, Conservation and Natural Resource Management, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Mr. Wright currently holds Oklahoma school teaching certification in Earth Science, General Science, Physical Science and Vocational Agriculture.  Additionally, he holds current Oklahoma school administration certification as School Superintendent, Secondary Principal, Middle Level Principal and Elementary Principal.

He is married to Mary Ann Wright who works as a reading specialist in the Sperry Public School District, Sperry, Oklahoma.  Mr. and Mrs. Wright have two daughters, Jessie and Millie, and working together as a family they commercially raise beef, swine, and sheep on their small family ranch in Mounds, Oklahoma.
