District Special Education Coordinator for Assistive Technology and Augmentative Communication
Janna Greathouse received her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 1998 and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2000, both from the University of Tulsa, and her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2001. She has been employed by Jenks Public Schools since 2008, first as a speech-language pathologist at West Elementary and currently as the District Special Education Coordinator for Assistive Technology and Augmentative Communication. She is primarily responsible for helping IEP teams with determination of a student’s need for assistive technology, selection, acquisition, and maintenance of appropriate assistive technology devices, and coordination of assistive technology services. Her favorite part of the job is working with the IEP teams to help students participate in classroom activities to the fullest extent possible.
