The Jenks Public Schools Transportation Department is an important piece of the Jenks Five "A"s in providing safe and educational transportation for our students. Currently, the transportation department has a total of 70 traditional route drivers, 15 special education drivers, and 18 bus assistants - all of whom together transport an average of 5,500 students per day.
The transportation department maintains a fleet of 110 buses, 3 vans and other vehicles used in the district. The department's lead technician Herb Jones, who has 20 plus years of experience, oversees 4 mechanics and a small group of shop helpers who keep Jenks Public Schools vehicles in tip-top shape.
Transportation services are provided for all students in grades K-12 who live within the district and are not transfer students. High School students in grades 9-12 are ineligible within the main city of Jenks as no buses service this area for their grade level and is considered by Jenks Public Schools as a walk zone for high school students only.
We greatly appreciate the trust that you provide us in transporting your children on the safest means of transportation on the road.
