The first District Collaboration Day is scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2017.

The first District Collaboration Day is this Thursday, September 28.

On District Collaboration Days, school will start an hour and a half (1 hour and 30 minutes) later than the normal time. Buses will run an hour and a half (1 hour and 30 minutes) later than the normal time. Students can be dropped off at school sites starting 20 minutes prior to the adjusted start time.

The later start allows time for teachers to work together to identify common instructional needs, and to brainstorm solutions which meet the needs of students at multiple grade levels and in multiple content areas. The late-start collaboration days also provide much needed time for teachers to study student work, discuss proven strategies, and integrate best practices into classroom instruction. Teachers and staff value the six collaboration days built into the instructional calendar to enrich their practices and enhance students' ability to learn.

COLLABORATION DAY START TIMES:

Intermediate - 9:15 am

Elementary - 10:00 am

Middle School/High School - 10:45 am

*Pre-K begins at 9:35 am at all sites*
