Art

Welcome to the East Elementary Art Department!

The goal for art at East is to help students learn the Elements of Art which are:

  • Line
  • Shape
  • Color
  • Texture
  • Value
  • Students will practice these basics through several new and different mediums such as clay, plaint, weaving, and pastels.  Students will also be introduced to art history by learning about historic and modern artists, designers, and architects.  Your child will be taught how to put care and pride into their artwork.  We encourage students to use their imagination in creating unique masterpieces.  It's an exciting and imaginative journey in art!

"Everything you can imagine is real."

-Pablo Picasso
