Guys Read

Created by well-known author Jon Scieszka, this website’s goal is to connect boys to books that they will love.  Don’t be fooled by the name, though.  Girls might also enjoy many of the books profiled on this website!  Browse for books with “at least one explosion”, books about “how to build stuff”, and many more boy-friendly categories.  You might find the perfect book in these reviews!

Scholastic Book Trailers

Learn about great books by watching a few book trailers on the Scholastic website!  These are like movie previews, but for books!

Scholastic Book Wizard

This website allows you to search by title, author, or reading level. You can also use the "BookAlike" feature to find books similar to other books you enjoyed.

A Book and A Hug

This website features book reviews for students of all ages and abilities and can be easily browsed by category.  You can also add your own book review to the website.

Read Kiddo Read 

Well-known author James Patterson provides book reviews, book lists, author interviews, and more on this website.  Books are arranged by broad age divisions and categories and many include both parent and educator reviews.

Sequoyah Award Masterlists

Each April, Oklahoma students who have read at least three of the nominees vote for the winner of the Sequoyah Book Award.  Get a head start on reading the 2017 nominees!  You can read books from both the children's list and the intermediate list.
