Credentials: National Board Certified Teacher, 2009; B.A. Spanish and Education from Phillips University, Enid Ok, 1990; completed intensive Language Institute and homestay through the Academia Hispanoamericano, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, 1989; 5 years teaching experience at Bartlesville Mid-High; 10 years teaching experience at Sapulpa High School; teaching Spanish at Jenks Freshman Academy since 2005. Completed AP Summer Institute training in Spanish Literature at TU; Received scholarship for National Board certification process, 2008; Received the Tucky Roger TGA fellowship travel grant Summer 2011.
Pastimes and passions: Spending time with my wonderful family, home improvement projects, reading, travel, and of course teaching Spanish language and culture. I've traveled to many countries including Mexico, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, the former Soviet Union, Switzerland, Sweden, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Norway, and Denmark.
