The Jenks Public Schools Transportation Department plays an important role in providing safe transportation for our students.
Currently, the transportation department has a total of 68 regular education drivers, 2 technology drivers and 13 special education drivers, and 13 Bus Assistants—all of whom together transport an average of 5,500 students every day. There are 60 regular education routes and 13 special education routes.
The transportation department maintains a fleet of 110 buses, 3 Vans and other vehicles used in the district. The department’s Lead technician Herb Jones, who has 20 plus years of experience, oversees 4 mechanics and a small group of shop helpers who keep Jenks Public Schools vehicles in tip-top shape.
Transportation services are provided for all students in grades K-12 who live within the distract and are not transfer students. High School students in grades 9-12 are inelligible within The main City of Jenks as no buses service this area for their grade level and is considered by Jenks Public Schools as a walk zone for High School students only.
We greatly appreciate the trust that you provide us in transporting your children on the safest means of transportation on the road.
